The donkey is related to the horse and zebra, all of which belong to the same family ‘Equus’.
Chicken
There are more chickens in the world than any other bird. Chickens are reared for their eggs, as well as their meat.

Goat
We have Goats including Rare Breed Baggot goats here at the zoo. Goats are closely related to sheep which is why they look so similar. Like sheep, goats are bred for milk, meat and wool.
You can buy animal food for £1.50 from the Gift Shop to feed our goats.
Goose
The female Goose is usually referred to as a goose and the male is called a gander. Young geese are called goslings. A group of geese is called a gaggle!

Llama
Llamas are very sociable animals and enjoy the companionship of their own kind. They are very intelligent and can be trained to pull carts and carry packs.

Pig
Tamworth pigs are classed as ‘at risk’ by the Rare Breeds Survival Trust. The Tamworth is one of the oldest breeds of pig and is recognisable due to its distinctive ginger-coloured hair.
Shetland Pony
The Shetland pony is known for its petite stature and is amongst the smallest breeds of horse in the world.
Alpaca
They are social animals that live in herds. These herds are not only composed of other alpacas but also include other species such as llamas, goats and sheep. You can find our Alpaca in the Goat field.
You can purchase animal food for £1 a bag to feed the Alpaca.
